Elaine Paige

a look at the music of Vangelis Papathanassiou

Introduction
British actress and singer Elaine Paige is best known for her performances on stage, mostly in musicals like 'Evita', 'Cats', 'Chess', 'Piaf' and 'Sunset Boulevard'. From the musical 'Chess' she is also known for her best-selling hit 'I know him so well', a duet with Barbara Dickson, composed by the former ABBA members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, with lyrics by Tim Rice.

Apart from singing on stage, Elaine has released numerous solo-albums, one of which is this one 'Love Hurts' from 1985. The album contains one song composed by Vangelis 'All things considered'. Elaine must have liked Vangelis music very much, as a year before she had already released a sung cover of the main theme of 'Missing' on her album 'Cinema'...
