Verve, Hommage A Teriade

a look at the music of Vangelis Papathanassiou

Introduction
Unfortunately very little is known about this production... According to a press sheet Frédéric Rossif made a short film for "Verve", a renowned art magazine published by Tériade (who's original Greek name actually is Stratis Eleftheriades). In 1973 a special exposition dedicated to Teriade was organised in the Grand Palais in Paris (France), and Rossif's short film is somehow related to this event. Vangelis is credited for the music in this short film, as of yet it remains unclear whether this is original music, or perhaps re-used recordings for previous Rossif documentaries...

Other art-based documentaries by Frédéric Rossif that Vangelis provided a musical score for include, Georges Mathieu ou la fureur d'être (1971), Au pays des visages (1972), Georges Braque ou le temps différent (1974),  Pablo Picasso peintre (1981) and Morandi (1989).
