Introduction
The work with Greek singer
Aleka Kanellidou is one of those one-time collaborative works where there is
really very little to tell....Aleka became a popular singer in Greece during the
seventies and eighties, but back in the sixties she was just starting out with
her career. She recorded a single back in 1967 with the songs "The more I see
you" and "Stranger", and Vangelis was kind enough to help out ! The
song "The more I see you" is considered part of the Greek 'garage' movement from
the sixties, as it was released on the (bootleg) garage LP "Operation Shake the
Earth". On a curious note, Vangelis and Aleka also recorded a song for an
obscure Greek horror movie "Frenzy"....

Although the cd has only
been issued in Greece, it is still available and can be found in the better
stocked record stores there. The vinyl single is impossible to find. The
LP including just the one song appears to be a bootleg and is limited to 500
copies. Sofar very few copies have surfaced.
